Corduroy, Bows and Stripes

I realize I wear my striped shirt way too much, but it’s my favorite shirt, guys! It is! And this bow jacket was a gift. I’ve had it for almost a year now, and still have never worn it for a blog post. I keep wanting to, though. I just have never found a cute enough outfit. I wore it to church last Sunday and really liked the outfit. It’s a bit more wintery, so I’ll post those photos later.

Other than that, you may have noticed more recipe photos than normal from me. It’s true, it’s true, I’m actually cooking regularly. Later this week, I’ll be posting about how cooking wasn’t as hard as I thought it’d be.

This is what I wear when I want to be comfy

A few things:

I really like to match red and blue.
I really like nature
I don’t like wearing my glasses, but I’m out of contacts
Side braid + overlarge shirt + leggings = favorite “not sweatpants, but still not trying” look
I need to cut my bangs

Life is good. I’m taking my camera with me all day today so I can post “a day in the life” sometime soon! I’m so excited. I don’t even know how this is going to work, but I’m EXCITED.

In other good news, my car magically works now. That’s right, magically. If you remember, my car broke down. Every time I tried to start it, it wouldn’t. I didn’t touch it for almost two weeks–and then randomly went and tried and it works.

Life

Good.

Red Shoes

Bought these shoes for my hip hop class so I can look more legitimate as I dance around awkwardly. I think they’re pretty sweet.

If you’ll notice, they fold down, and it’s plaid on the inside! I can’t wait to wear these with some sweet leggings in the fall! And an overlarge sweater? Um, yes please.

Balloons and Sparrows

I really like balloons, so when I came to work yesterday and had balloons waiting for me, I was all over them. As you can see by the new header. And the photos below. I even did my hair and nails and makeup all nice! Balloons are special, I’m telling you. The dress is from Forever21, shoes are from Forever Young Shoes. Hair I got from this tutorial on Pinterest (and modified it a little).

Spring Fever

So I’m still in love with Spring! Also, I’m totally aware in the 2nd photo you can see the top of my tights. I blame the wind. And the photos seem weirdly out of focus a little, but THAT’S what happens when you can’t clone yourself to take photos. Of yourself. No, really, thank you Dad for taking them. (Next time press the button half way so it can auto focus on me)
