Driving Back

I got back last night from my trip to St George. 4 hour drive in 3. Yeah. I basically listened to music really loud, drove fast and was accompanied by a blood-red sunset. The sun was RED. It was cool and also creeped me out at first.

And here’s a photo of my bruise that I mentioned on Friday. It isn’t exactly delicious or attractive, so I made the photo smaller. You’re welcome.

It was a great trip. I always love seeing my family. Every single person I talked to told me I should move there. It’s beautiful. A paradise…I was just starting to get used to the heat when I left yesterday. Maybe after I’m done with school, I’ll consider moving there! It’s an option. Always an option…but since I left North Carolina in 2009, I’ve moved 6 times: to Cedar Hills, UT, to Rexburg, ID, to Provo, to a different place in Provo, to Los Angeles, back to Provo. That’s so many times to move! I just want to stay in one place for now, but seriously, seeing my family and spending time with them was really amazing. I already miss them!

After A Long Day Of Shopping

Nice to see you again, yellow blazer! I coincidentally wore those same shoes, too, I just didn’t get a good photo of them. Nails are done with Essie’s Play Date and a top coat of Sinful Colors’ Purple Diamond. Dress is from Papaya. I got my necklace from a little boutique about a year ago and the ring on the right hand is from Charlotte Russe, the LOVE ring, I can’t remember where it’s from or when I even got it…they have them everywhere, though.

I wore this to a family friend’s reception on Saturday!

In other news, I hate it when I do that thing when I smile and my teeth go over my lip. It’s so unattractive. I should’ve gotten braces.

Oh well. So this week, I’m going to St. George! It’ll be fun. Fingers crossed I come back tan.

Mauve & Pink Nails

I’ve always been a bit confused about what the color “mauve” is. According to Wikipedia (because they have an article on Mauve), it can be considered a dirty pink and a shade of purple. Apparently, this particular mauve is a “mauve taupe” color.

By the way, I always thought mauve was pronounced “mahv,” but it’s a french word, so it’s actually pronounced “mohv,” like rhymes with “grove.” Silly French!

The pink on the outside is my Tropical Fiesta from Milani. I just used scotch tape. Did them at work, what’s new.

So, there you have it, a lesson on the color mauve and an interesting color combo for Spring/Summer nails. You like?

My Favorite Shirt

I’ve discovered that this is my favorite shirt. I love it. I could wear it every day and be happy with it. It’s comfortable and cute and makes me happy. You may remember it from here. Coincidentally, these are also my favorite shorts. They are comfortable and cute and make me happy. I got them from Charlotte Russe!
