I know Maria is usually the DIYer, but I saw this adorable idea on Pinterest and had to try it out! I also had a Bridal Shower to go to and I figured it’d be a cute gift! So I made it–and then tried it out, and then wrapped it up all nice. Voila!
1 part Brown Sugar
1 part Olive Oil
1 part Honey
Mix and enjoy! Although I added more brown sugar and if I had to redo the recipe, I’d add a little less olive oil.
For the container, I used an empty ELF Nail Polish Remover (obviously sanitized) holder. I was/am pretty proud of myself.
One of the men I work with brought everybody a yellow plum today. He just walked around without a word and put one on everyone’s desk. He apparently got them from a local food stand on the side of the road. I had never seen a yellow plum and I really wanted to try it at work, but I contained myself until I got home so I could use it for the blog!
I’m glad I did! I cut it up, drizzled it with my favorite sweetener and gobbled it right up. I wasn’t sure if the honey would mix well, but it really helped lessen the sourness of the plum skin. Why is plum skin sour?
It tasted amazing with the honey and worked surprisingly well. Also–how cute is that honey jar? Honey is delicious and it has such a great color.
