Leg warmers and jacket from Buckle, shoes from Forever 21 and dress is vintage.
With the leaves, temperature and seasons changing, I realized a lot can happen in just a short period of time. I’ve found the only way to keep going is to keep perspective.
On my flight into Utah, I decided that I wanted to cut my hair and dye out the blonde panels that I’ve had for the past couple summers as a sort of physical manifestation of starting fresh.
Everyone always tells me how beautiful my long hair is and how much of a shame it would be to cut it, even though I’ve been wanting to do it for a really long time.
I kept putting it off for various reasons, but I decided that change was already in the air, so why not be a little cliche and change my hair, too? It may have been a control thing.
I cut off about 5 inches and dyed the blonde to a dark purple. You can kind of see it in the first set, but I didn’t want it to be too obvious.
Needless to say, I love it to death and instead of missing my longer hair, I’ll give it a nostalgic wave goodbye and never look back!
