It’s fall <3
Got shellac on my nails again. I haven’t had it in so long that I forgot how much better it looks than real polish (at least when I do my own nails). It’s shiny, and the best part is that it doesn’t chip. Chipping is so annoying, especially when you pay to get your nails done. So far, I’ve dropped a heavy ceramic dish on my nail, scraped it against a textured wall and they’re still perfect. I was even cutting a piece of paper and the scissors came down on my nail and not even a scratch. It’s amazing and so so so worth it.
The only thing I would recommend beforehand is to make sure you love the color. I usually get red or super light pink, a la Emily Maynard, but this time I decided to go a little wild. So far, so good! It’s been three days and I still love it.
We’ll see if I let them grow out, or if I decide I hate it.
Guess who got her makeup today! Yay!
You can click this photo to see it larger if you want. I don’t normally do that with my photos. Keep scrolling for a delicious photo sampler of the makeup! More to come by the end of the week–I’m hoping to maybe even get a video. I’m in LOVE.
It was so exciting to get this package! I hope you like the photos and remember to come back later this week sometime for a video.
A mini-update because I just ordered some make-up on E.L.F. and I CAN’T WAIT to get it! They’re have a 50% off sale for some of their makeup. Let’s just say I got a $50 order half off!!
So excited! Below is a list of what I purchased. I’ve been needing new makeup, but some of this is also for the Halloween costume upon which I’ve already decided. More about that on Monday! Hope the weekend’s going well!
You can search any of these product numbers on the E.L.F. website (http://eyeslipsface.com) and it’ll pull up all the colors and versions of the product.
By no means am I completely saying goodbye to summer, but I have been thinking a lot about what look I’m going to go with for fall. I can just imagine the hayrides and corn mazes and hot chocolate! I wanted to go a little bit more dramatic and opted for a cherry lip and dark purple eye. It’s just a step lighter than smokey, which I love! I also put my hair in a side pony tail and just barely curled the ends with my straightener.
Is it me or does it seem like you have to work a lot harder in the colder seasons to look good? In summer, you can just look as natural as can be because the sun does all the work.
