My Heart Is In France (soon)

I designed this shirt on CafePress.com to wear occasionally while my boy is in France. He’s not there yet, but I just found out he’ll be leaving May 7th! It’s all very exciting. Also, you can see in the photo that I’ve got my Blue Slant Tip nails (oooooh, lovelyyy).

The back is also really awesome, but I didn’t get a good photo before my camera died, so we will make a part two eventually.

I’ve decided I’m going to make a 24 month goal list. Learn French is on there. Oh, life! It’s really just full of opportunities! Here’s to hoping I’ll actually have a productive Monday!

Strawberry Cupcakes with Strawberry Frosting

Hello! Yesterday morning, I made these strawberry cupcakes, completely from scratch, including the frosting! They look really good, don’t they?!

Well, they weren’t! They were basically gross. The frosting was way too sweet and the cupcakes weren’t sweet enough. My sister said they tasted like cornbread.

My brother-in-law ate like 6, so I have a feeling he thought they were just fine, although I now question his tastes.

Will I ever learn to bake? I’m thinking no. I just can’t bake, okay?! Sorry, future husband and future children.

Simple Spring Nails

So sorry for the horrible quality! I just used scotch tape, it was very simple. Later I added a white stripe to the dividing line on the ring finger. It looked amazing! I’d add a photo, but I cut my nails since it makes playing the piano, Ukulele and typing very difficult.

A Package

Sundays have become Craft Sundays for me, mostly because I don’t ever feel like I have very much to do on Sundays. I have a boyfriend on a mission for my Church, so I sent him a package on Friday. I put such cute stuff in it! At least, I think I did. I used all neon colors and frankly, it hurts the eyes to look at, but I’m hoping he enjoyed it!

The best thing about being in the same city as the MTC (where he currently is) is that I can get packages to him same day, no matter the size, for $2. It’s very convenient. I can obviously also get letters to him same day. They don’t even charge postage, how COOL.

Well, I’m off to send him a letter and tonight I’ll be doing more things to make him another package! Yay, craftiness!

Little tiny quotes that he can insert into his journal or put on the mirror, or do whatever, honestly.

Since he’ll be serving in France, I wrote up the Articles of Faith (the basic beliefs of our Church) in french, then put a pretty bow on it.

The whole thing, packed and stuffed to the top, right before I sealed it and sent it!

The contents! It was fun to put together! AH! I hope he liked it! I hope I get a letter today…

I honestly don’t know how I can keep this up for another 24 months without a breakdown of some kind…

Just Words

Life is ironic. What even is there to say, really? We all know it. I feel–what do I feel…I feel like I have a lot to do with my life. I also don’t really feel like writing anything on here at the moment.

I don’t feel like doing much at all, but I know there’s a lot to do. Life will never be the same after today. Maybe one day I’ll laugh about all this. Now, I just kind of feel like rolling my eyes.

Enough complaining for one day, I think. Maybe not, actually.

I feel like it feels when it’s just a little too cold for what you’re wearing, but not cold enough for your jacket. I feel like it feels to drink a soda you can tell is about to go flat. I feel like it feels to have a bunch of candy around you, but none of your favorite kind. I feel like it feels to wait a really long time for something, only to realize it’s probably going not going to come. I feel like it feels to smudge your nail polish to the point where it’s noticeable up close, but not bad enough to make it worth redoing. I feel like it feels to have someone hint at you what they want you to do without actually saying it–and therefore, not technically telling you what to do. I feel like it feels to have two boys tell you they want to marry you within a day.

Don’t make me explain the last one. Blegh, life.
